A woman has been arrested in Wilkes-Barre Township after allegedly stealing more than $100 worth of items from Target, only to be found with drugs and a large sum of cash afterward.
On February 1, 2025, Wilkes-Barre Township Police apprehended Candis Lazovich, 35, of Plymouth, after Target’s Loss Prevention team caught her concealing and under-ringing $143.95 worth of items at the self-checkout.
Upon her arrest, officers discovered that Lazovich was in possession of $3,600 in cash and multiple controlled substances. This theft marked her third offense, as she had two prior convictions for retail theft, making this incident a felony.
Lazovich was taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility and held on a $5,000 bail. She faces charges for both retail theft and drug possession.
