Cameron Strempel Arrested Again for Indecent Exposure

Phoenix man now faces assault charge in latest arrest

by Sophia Bennett

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Cameron Strempel, a Phoenix man with a documented history of sex crimes, has been arrested for the fourth time, now facing new felony charges including indecent exposure, voyeurism, and assault.

Strempel, previously dubbed the “baby face flasher” by the Chandler Police Department, was arrested on July 26 following an investigation into his latest offenses. Authorities confirmed he is not bondable due to an active probation violation, though his bond was initially set at $25,000.

Victims from past cases have spoken out, expressing deep disappointment with the justice system. Many feel the repeated release of Strempel, despite clear patterns of behavior, has only led to further trauma and endangerment.

Strempel’s criminal history began over a decade ago, with his first arrest stemming from a 2013 spree where he exposed himself to at least 10 victims, ranging in age from six to 60. In 2020, he accepted a plea deal for voyeurism after exposing himself to a young girl.

In a powerful courtroom moment, the girl’s mother told Strempel, “What you did in front of my daughter was disturbing and disgusting. The trauma you caused is permanent.”

One past victim, speaking anonymously, told FOX 10, “It’s heartbreaking. I forgave him, but to hear it’s happened again… it’s like reliving the moment. I can still see his face.”

She added that his continued presence in the community reflects broader failures:
“He needs to be put away. What’s it going to take? There are a lot of sick people out there who aren’t getting proper treatment or incarceration.”

Strempel had previously been placed on 20 years of supervised probation after his 2013 and 2020 cases, raising ongoing concerns about repeat offenses and the adequacy of judicial oversight.

As of now, Strempel faces four felony charges related to indecent exposure and voyeurism, in addition to the new assault charge—suggesting a potential escalation in his criminal behavior.

Further updates are expected as the case develops.
