CHORLEY, Lancashire — Three men have been jailed following a series of burglary-related offences in the Chorley area. Cameron Smith, along with Andrew Smith and Connor Evans, were involved in a spate of criminal activity on Sunday, December 15, targeting properties in the Coppull and Charnock Richard areas.

The trio was captured entering gardens and porch areas in attempts to steal, prompting an investigation by Lancashire Constabulary’s south residential burglary team. The inquiry led to their arrests and subsequent charges, including aggravated burglary, attempted burglary with intent to steal, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, and going equipped for theft.

All three pleaded guilty during an earlier court appearance. At Preston Crown Court, they received the following sentences:

Andrew Smith, 50, of Derwent Road, Chorley – 6 years in prison

Cameron Smith, 27, of Old Hall Street, Ince – 3 years in prison

Connor Evans, 19, of Scawfell Road, Chorley – 12 months in prison

The convictions follow continued efforts by Lancashire Police to crack down on residential burglary and vehicle-related thefts in the region.
