VERONA, N.Y. — The Oneida County Sheriff announced the arrest of 29-year-old Caleb Stanford, from the City of Oneida, in connection with a series of motor vehicle thefts.
On Friday, November 7, deputies responded to VVS Middle School in Verona regarding an abandoned vehicle. Investigation revealed the blue pickup truck had been stolen from the Vernon Downs parking garage at 4229 Stuhlman Road in the Town of Vernon.
Further investigation uncovered another stolen pickup truck from Verona State Park.
Stanford faces charges of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Class E felony) and Attempted Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Class A misdemeanor). He was issued appearance tickets for Verona and Vernon Town Courts and released on his own recognizance.
