PARK CITY, Ky. — A Park City man charged in connection with a major theft scheme from Lowe’s and an attempted murder in Monroe County remains behind bars at the Barren County Detention Center.
Caleb McClellan, 20, of Park City, and Isaac Logsdon, 23, of Glasgow, are both accused of participating in an organized retail theft operation involving stolen merchandise from Lowe’s. McClellan also faces separate charges for a shooting in Tompkinsville.
McClellan is being held on a $250,000 bond for the attempted murder case and an additional $25,000 bond for the theft charges.
According to police, the theft investigation began after Glasgow Police received reports that a Lowe’s employee—identified as Logsdon—had been “pushing out” appliances from the store over several months. The store discovered 22 separate thefts totaling $60,000 in stolen merchandise.
Detectives later found photos of several new refrigerators on McClellan’s Facebook page, leading officers to execute a search warrant at Logsdon’s residence on Trista Lane in Glasgow. During the search, police recovered four refrigerators believed to be stolen, along with a small bag of marijuana.
Both McClellan and Logsdon were charged with theft by unlawful taking (over $10,000 but under $1 million) and acquisition of retail merchandise for resale. Logsdon also faces a possession of marijuana charge.
At the time of his arrest for theft, McClellan had already been in custody for attempted murder in a Monroe County case.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, McClellan allegedly fired a 9mm pistol at another vehicle shortly after midnight on Sept. 9 in Tompkinsville. Although the vehicle was struck, no one was injured.
Later that night, officers stopped the vehicle McClellan was riding in and found a pistol inside. A warrant for his arrest was issued that morning, and he was later taken into custody in Park City by Kentucky State Police.
McClellan remains in custody as both cases move forward.
