Three arrested in Salina after Audi reaches 110 mph

by Sophia Bennett

SALINA, KS — Three people were arrested Saturday following a pair of high-speed chases reaching 110 mph and the discovery of drugs in the vehicle, according to police reports.

Authorities identified the suspects as Bryson Miles Tweten, 20, of Clifton, Colorado; Delaney Lynn Blackman, 18; and Sienne Hope Vigil, 19. All three face investigation for drug-related offenses.

Tweten was charged Monday in 6th District Court with:

Two counts of failing to stop for police (third-degree felonies)

Unlawful use of a bank card (third-degree felony)

Two counts of drug possession (class A misdemeanors)

Possession of drug paraphernalia (class B misdemeanor)

Driving on a revoked license (class C misdemeanor)

After the charges, investigators discovered the vehicle he was driving, an Audi, had been reported stolen from Rifle, Colorado. Tweten is now being held in Utah pending an investigation for motor vehicle theft.

The incidents began around 4 p.m. Saturday when a Salina police officer observed an Audi traveling at 110 mph on I-70. The driver initially slowed but then sped away when officers attempted a traffic stop.

About 40 minutes later, police received a call from a Salina auto repair shop reporting someone trying to use a bank card illegally from the same Audi. The vehicle continued evading officers at high speeds before Emery County sheriff’s deputies spiked the tires, bringing the car to a stop.

Inside the vehicle, officers found:

A plastic bag containing a substance consistent with cocaine

A blue pill suspected to be fentanyl

A spoon and knife with white powder consistent with cocaine

All occupants of the vehicle reportedly appeared under the influence of narcotics. Tweten allegedly told officers the car belonged to one of his passengers, who had picked him up in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Police noted that Tweten was on probation in Colorado at the time of his arrest in Utah. The case remains under investigation.
