LA PLATA, Md. – On May 30, narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at a home on the 7700 block of Weatherly Place in La Plata, leading to the arrest of Bruce Robinson, 57.
With help from the Emergency Services Team and the Neighborhood Enforcement Team, officers uncovered a significant stash of drugs and firearms. Items seized included hundreds of Oxycodone pills, Suboxone strips, amphetamines, cocaine, and related paraphernalia, with an estimated street value of $6,400.
Detectives also confiscated eight firearms, including three handguns, three rifles, and two shotguns—several of which were unregistered.
Robinson was charged with multiple drug and weapons offenses, including eight counts of weapons violations and five counts related to narcotics.
On June 2, a judge ruled that Robinson could be released from the Charles County Detention Center under electronic monitoring.
