NEW YORK, NY – The FBI/NYPD Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force has arrested 28-year-old Manuel Davila of Brooklyn in connection with the sexual exploitation of multiple children, federal authorities announced on April 29, 2025.
The arrest follows a months-long investigation, during which investigators accessed Davila’s iCloud account through a judicially authorized search warrant. There, they uncovered conversations with minors via a mobile messaging application. In one alarming instance, Davila allegedly attempted to solicit sexually explicit material from a minor he believed to be only 10 years old, as seen in an 18-minute video dated January 17, 2024.
Agents also interviewed another underage victim, who confirmed that Davila had requested explicit images and instructed them to delete all messages afterward.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Manuel Davila or who may have been a victim to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
“Soliciting sexually explicit material from young children is a heinous crime,” said FBI New York Assistant Director in Charge Christopher Raia. “The FBI is determined to protect children from depraved individuals attempting to prey on them.”
The FBI reminds the public that a criminal complaint is an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Victims identified by the FBI may be entitled to specific services and rights under federal or state law.
