Broken Bow, Neb. — Carsen Wilson, 19, from Broken Bow, has pleaded not guilty to several felony charges, including attempted first-degree murder, following an alleged incident in Custer County on October 2. Wilson is accused of firing shots at his ex-girlfriend and her friend while driving through Merna, Neb.
Wilson is facing a range of charges in Custer County Court, including:
Two counts of attempted first-degree murder
Two counts of attempted first-degree assault
Two counts of terroristic threats
Two counts of stalking
One count of use of a firearm to commit a felony
Three counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm
One count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
One count of possession of a stolen firearm
One count of attempted first-degree domestic assault
According to an arrest affidavit, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. when the victim, a woman, picked up a friend and was subsequently followed by Wilson. The woman reported that Wilson, while driving alongside them, fired three shots at her and her friend from the driver’s side window.
The authorities are continuing to investigate the case, and Wilson’s next court appearance is pending.
