FORT COLLINS — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend in Northern Colorado.
Authorities responded to reports of a shooting on the 2000 block of Battlecreek Drive just before 8 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived, they found a male victim with serious injuries. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators identified Brody Jason-Michael Hill as the suspect. Hill was taken into custody and booked into the Larimer County Jail on multiple charges, including first-degree murder, unlawful conduct involving an unserialized firearm, and possession of a prohibited large-capacity magazine.
Assistant Chief Frank Barrett, who oversees the Criminal Investigations Division, said, “This is a tragic loss of life, and our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones. Through the coordinated efforts of our responding officers and investigators, we were able to quickly identify and apprehend a suspect. There is no ongoing threat to the community.”
