ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio – Two individuals were arrested this week after a month-long drug investigation by the Belmont County Sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Unit.
Brittani Zielinski, 35, of St. Clairsville, and Dustin Hampton, 29, of Michigan, were taken into custody when authorities executed a search warrant at a home on Rehm Road.
During the raid, detectives seized 155 grams of fentanyl, 50 grams of cocaine, a significant amount of Xanax, and three firearms.
Both suspects face charges of two counts of drug trafficking, two counts of drug possession, having weapons under disability, and possession of drug abuse instruments.
They are being held on an $82,500 bond.
Belmont County Sheriff James Zusack highlighted that the amount of fentanyl found in the home qualifies both Zielinski and Hampton as major drug offenders under Ohio law. Sheriff Zusack also expressed appreciation for the assistance of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the St. Clairsville Police Department in this investigation.
