Three individuals have been arrested in Shenandoah County after a large-scale drug bust involving fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other illicit substances. The operation, led by the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) in collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, resulted in the seizure of over 26 pounds of drugs and thousands of fentanyl pills.
The investigation began on June 6, during a traffic stop in Edinburg, Virginia, when a narcotics K-9 discovered a glass smoking device. Further investigation revealed six ounces of methamphetamine and 50 fentanyl pills. A controlled purchase was arranged with the help of the FBI Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force in West Virginia and the Northwest Regional Drug Task Force, which led to the recovery of an additional eight ounces of meth and 100 fentanyl pills.
Following the controlled purchase, authorities executed search warrants at two residences, seizing over 10 pounds of methamphetamine, 15 pounds of marijuana, and half an ounce of cocaine. In total, more than 8,000 fentanyl pills were linked to the case.
The three arrested individuals were identified as Brittainy Lee Taylor Cline of Harrisonburg, Jaron Evandon Carey of Winchester, and Emily Meri Grace Lamb of Stephens City. All three were charged with possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I/II drug. Cline also faces charges for distributing methamphetamine in amounts ranging between 28 to 226 grams, while Lamb was additionally charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are working together to continue their efforts to disrupt local drug trafficking.
