SEAFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a Bridgeville couple following a residential burglary in Seaford last week.

Troopers responded Friday to a reported break-in in the 24000 block of German Road. Investigators learned that earlier in the week, unknown suspects had unlawfully entered the home and stolen electronics, power tools, automotive parts, welding equipment, and fishing rods. The total estimated value of the stolen items exceeded $12,000.

Detectives identified the suspects as 33-year-old Robert Layton and 31-year-old Jasmine Rokos. Both were taken into custody Monday during the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Laverty Lane in Bridgeville. Authorities recovered stolen property from the burglary, along with a .410 gauge shotgun, a .22 caliber rifle, a stolen .25 caliber handgun, and drug paraphernalia.

Layton, a convicted felon, faces multiple charges including second-degree burglary, theft over $1,500, and several counts related to firearm and drug possession. He is currently held at Sussex Correctional Institution on an $80,600 secured bond.

Rokos was charged with second-degree burglary, theft over $1,500, second-degree conspiracy, and other related offenses. She was released on her own recognizance pending further proceedings.
