MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — Deputies with the Montgomery County Constable Precinct 4 Office have arrested Brian Hawk and Kenneth Burns following an investigation into copper wire theft and drug possession.

According to the constable’s office, the arrests came after a surveillance operation initiated when the suspects allegedly fled the Kingwood area toward Porter. Deputies later located the stolen copper wire, which had been dumped along the route, and began monitoring the site.

When Hawk and Burns returned to retrieve the wire, deputies detained them. Investigators said both suspects later confessed to stealing the copper. During the arrest, deputies also discovered narcotics in their possession, leading to additional charges.

The Montgomery County Constable Precinct 4 Office praised the proactive work of its deputies, noting that metal theft and drug-related offenses remain a priority due to their impact on local infrastructure and community safety.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
