BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) — Brendin Pitts, a resident of Carriere, has been arrested on charges of murder in connection with a shooting that occurred on Sunday morning in Bay St. Louis.
At around 9:16 a.m. on February 9, Bay St. Louis police officers were dispatched to a home on St. George Street in response to a shooting report. Upon arrival, first responders found Lionell Bradley, 29, from St. Louis, with multiple gunshot wounds. Bradley was rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead.
Investigators discovered that the shooting resulted from an argument between Pitts and Bradley. After the shooting, Pitts fled the scene but was located a short time later, walking just a few blocks away. He was arrested and charged with murder.
Pitts is being held at the Hancock County Jail with a bond set at $1,000,000 by Judge Stephen Maggio.
