WILMINGTON, Del. — Delaware State Police have arrested one man and obtained an arrest warrant for another following an alleged organized retail theft at a Target store in Wilmington.
Investigators say the incident occurred on September 28, 2025, at the Target located at 1050 Brandywine Parkway. Around 9 a.m., a man allegedly filled a shopping cart with more than $900 worth of clothing and electronics and exited without paying. He then met an accomplice outside, and together they loaded the stolen goods into a vehicle before leaving the scene.
Police said the same suspect returned moments later and attempted to take another cart with over $900 in merchandise, but fled when confronted by Target Asset Protection.
Detectives later identified the suspects as 34-year-old Brendan Davis of Rehoboth Beach and 25-year-old Daylast Deshields of Wilmington.
Deshields was arrested on October 7, 2025, and charged with theft–organized retail crime over $1,500 and second-degree conspiracy, both felonies. He was arraigned and released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
Davis is currently being held in West Chester, Pennsylvania, awaiting extradition to Delaware, where he faces the same felony charges.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
