GRAND FORKS, N.D. – A woman is in custody following a violent domestic disturbance on August 17, in which she bit and struck a man who had a protection order against her.
Breanna Huff was arrested by the Grand Forks Police Department after officers responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic incident between a man and a woman.
The man told dispatch that Huff had initiated the argument. After he made the call, Huff allegedly tried to slap the phone out of his hands and struck him in the side of the head. As the situation escalated, the man fled to the hallway and eventually locked himself in the bathroom.
He reported that Huff bit his left bicep, causing visible swelling, bruising, and teeth marks, according to court documents.
When police arrived, Huff attempted to deceive officers by providing a false name, identifying herself as “Rachel.” Officers discovered her true identity and found that an active order of protection (OPC) was in place, prohibiting her from contacting the man.
Huff was placed under arrest but reportedly resisted, prompting officers to carry her down three flights of stairs to take her into custody.
She now faces multiple charges, including:
Domestic assault
Violation of a protection order
Providing false information to police
Resisting arrest
Authorities have not released the name of the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
