A man was arrested in New Hartford, New York after allegedly taking over 100 items from a local Walmart.
According to the New Hartford Police Department, officers responded on March 11 following a report from loss prevention staff at the Walmart, Commercial Drive, New Hartford, NY.
Police said Brandon Trask, 27, who has no known address, was seen selecting more than 100 items worth approximately $2,000 and leaving the store without paying.
Loss prevention staff detained Trask and contacted police. When officers arrived, Trask attempted to flee and allegedly fought with police before being taken into custody.
He was charged with grand larceny, obstructing governmental administration, and resisting arrest, and was subsequently arraigned in court.
