A Millsboro man was arrested on DUI and drug charges after police discovered 105 bags of heroin during a traffic stop.
Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust
On March 28, 2025, at 7:10 p.m., a Delaware State Police trooper observed a silver Ford Flex leaving a Royal Farms parking lot onto Mount Joy Road. The driver, later identified as 38-year-old Brandon Myers, was not wearing a seatbelt, and the passenger-side headlight was out, prompting the trooper to conduct a traffic stop.
During the stop, the trooper noticed that Myers appeared drowsy and spotted drug paraphernalia in the vehicle’s center console. A search of Myers’ pockets uncovered several waxed bags suspected to contain heroin.
Heroin Discovered in Vehicle Search
Myers underwent a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of drugs. A further search of the vehicle revealed 105 bags (approximately 3.15 grams) of heroin along with additional drug paraphernalia.
Charges and Release
Myers was transported to Troop 4, where he was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and released on a $7,875 unsecured bond. He faces the following charges:
Possession of Controlled Substance Tier 2 Quantity (Felony)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Driving Under the Influence of Drugs
Failure to Wear a Seatbelt
Authorities continue their investigation into the incident.
