A Boca Raton man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of theft and resisting law enforcement, according to records filed by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect was identified as Brandon Markel Brown. The arrest was documented under Report No. 430636 and published on January 27, 2026, at approximately 1:26 p.m. The filing agency was listed as 01–PBSO, representing the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report, Brown was taken into custody on suspicion of petit theft of merchandise from a farm or transit operation with two or more prior convictions, as well as resisting an officer without violence, a charge that involves obstructing or delaying law enforcement duties without the use of physical force.

Authorities did not release additional details regarding the circumstances of the arrest, the location of the incident, or the specific merchandise allegedly involved. Brown’s date of birth was not included in the publicly available record.

Law enforcement officials emphasized that an arrest represents an allegation and does not constitute a finding of guilt. Any charges filed will be adjudicated through the court system, where the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

The Boca Raton Tribune stated it will continue monitoring official records and provide updates should further information become available from law enforcement or court proceedings.
