Brandon Davis Gets Life for Killing Asiah Slone

Victim found in trash can; no parole for 45 years

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKRC) — Justice was finally delivered Tuesday for Asiah Slone, whose body was discovered in a trash can last July by her best friend. The man convicted of her murder, Brandon Davis, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for nearly 45 years.

Slone was found shot twice in the head while she slept. According to Butler County Prosecutor Mike Gmoser, Davis orchestrated the killing, firing the first shot himself before coercing Perry Hart to fire a second. Hart later testified against Davis as part of a plea deal, admitting to involuntary manslaughter and kidnapping.

“He was responsible for the execution of Asiah Slone,” said Gmoser. “He gave Hart a chilling ultimatum at gunpoint—‘Are you with me or against me?’”

The victim’s best friend, who had been searching for Slone for weeks before making the heartbreaking discovery, confronted Davis in court.

“You’re a monster,” she told him. “She was rotting in a trash can. What I saw—my sister did not look like this.”

Despite the conviction, Davis insisted on his innocence, claiming he was wrongly targeted by Middletown police. “She truly was my sister,” Davis told the judge, blaming Hart for both shots.

Along with the life sentence, Davis received 10 additional years for being a repeat violent offender and 4.5 years for weapons charges. His attorney stated plans to appeal the verdict.
