MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. — Two individuals were arrested after deputies reportedly found drugs inside their vehicle during a traffic stop in Martin County.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Brandi Moore and 58-year-old Larry Joe Horn on February 12.
Police said the traffic stop occurred after deputies noticed a sign covering the vehicle’s rear window and observed the vehicle crossing a double-yellow line. Officers described Moore and Horn as acting “very nervous” during the stop.
During the search, deputies found:
Gabapentin pills
A contact case containing roughly half a gram of a crystal-like substance
Cash in a purse
Bags containing what deputies believed was methamphetamine, including a large bag over 75 grams and a smaller bag just over 3 grams
Moore and Horn were charged with:
Trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree – first offense (less than 2 grams of meth)
Trafficking in a controlled substance – first offense
Drug paraphernalia – buy/possess
Obstructed vision and/or windshield
Both suspects were taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
