RAHWAY, NJ — A 34-year-old Rahway man has been sentenced to 25 years in state prison for the aggravated manslaughter of Roselle resident Jack Harris nearly three years ago.

On September 5, Brandan Melford received the sentence from Union County Superior Court Judge Christopher Struben.

Melford pleaded guilty on June 27 to the manslaughter charge in connection with the September 2022 shooting that took place in broad daylight on a Rahway street.

Harris, also known as ‘Caddy-Big Jack,’ was mourned deeply by his family and loved ones following his tragic death.

Melford was apprehended two days after the incident and has now been held accountable by the court.
