Under “Operation Netra”, Brajrajnagar police in Jharsuguda district conducted a late-night raid near the Rajpur petrol pump field, arresting two individuals involved in the illegal sale of banned cough syrup and narcotic tablets.
The arrested individuals are:
Prakash Kandra (21), Rajpur Turi Pada
Akash Kandra (23), Rajpur Turi Pada
During the operation, police seized:
120 bottles of Wincerex cough syrup
400 Nitrazepam tablets
₹2,070 cash
One motorcycle without a number plate
The accused were intercepted during an illicit transaction and have been produced before the court.
Brajrajnagar SDPO, Chintamani Pradhan, stated that the operation is part of an intensified crackdown against drug trafficking networks in the district.
