A man has been arrested in Udupi for allegedly trafficking and selling drugs in a public area. The accused, 37-year-old Brahandev Yadav, a native of Bihar, was caught by local authorities.
The police seized 690 grams of narcotics, valued at Rs60,680, along with a mobile phone, Rs680 in cash, and other personal belongings from Yadav. The arrest took place near the crossroads of Diana Talkies Road, close to Manipal Railway Station Road in Shivalli village, Udupi taluk.
The operation was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police A.C. Lokesh and Inspector Ramachandra Nayak from the CEN Crime Police Station. The team also included ASI Umesh, Praveen Kumar, Rajesh, Raghavendra, Venkatesh, Santosh, Dharmappa, Arun Kumar, Dikshith, Pavan, Nilesh, Parashuram, Muttappa, Mayyappa, and Charan.
A case has been filed at the CEN Crime Police Station under Crime No. 20/2025, in accordance with Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
