A 21-year-old man, Braeden Hobbs, was arrested in Vanderburgh County after several farm-related items were reported stolen from a rural property on Old Henderson Road. The theft, which occurred on Wednesday, involved items valued at $815, including an ATV sprayer, steel chains, and various farm tools.

The property owner contacted the sheriff’s office to report the theft, prompting an investigation. It was soon discovered that the stolen items were being offered for sale on Facebook Marketplace. After identifying Hobbs as the seller, deputies arranged a meeting with him to recover the stolen goods.

Upon arriving at the designated location, Hobbs was taken into custody without incident. He admitted to stealing the items and attempting to sell them due to financial hardship.

All stolen items were successfully recovered and returned to the property owner. Hobbs was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail and faces theft charges.
