LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Dr. Bradford Marsili, 35, a physician affiliated with the University of Louisville, has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses related to child sexual abuse material.
Marsili, who is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, faces 20 counts of possession of child sex abuse material involving minors between the ages of 12 and 18, along with 10 counts of distributing obscene content.
Authorities arrested Marsili on Sunday in the 200 block of Abraham Flexner Way. A university spokesperson confirmed that Marsili was placed on immediate leave Friday upon notification of the charges, and that UofL is cooperating fully with law enforcement.
According to court records, from June 22, 2024, to January 20, 2025, Marsili allegedly possessed material depicting minors engaged in sexual performances. The investigation began after a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led police to search Marsili’s mobile device.
Investigators uncovered 68 images and videos, ten of which were reportedly distributed via social media.
Marsili was arraigned Saturday and initially held on a $75,000 bond. He is now under home incarceration with several conditions, including no internet access, no contact with minors, and a ban on social media use.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 19.
