Two 18-year-old men have been arrested in connection with a wave of high-end burglaries targeting affluent Southern Californians — including a break-in at actor Brad Pitt’s Los Feliz home, according to law enforcement sources.
Jaquory Arman Watson and Damari Zair Charles are currently being held at the Theo Lacy Facility in Orange County, jail records confirmed on Tuesday.
While the pair face charges of first-degree burglary in a separate incident unrelated to Pitt, those charges include a possible enhancement for acting in concert. Authorities say charges specifically related to the Pitt burglary are expected later this week.
In addition, two juveniles have been taken into custody in relation to the same burglary ring. It remains unclear if they are directly linked to the Brad Pitt break-in.
Pitt’s Los Feliz home was reportedly targeted on June 26, while the actor was away promoting his latest film, F1. The suspects allegedly climbed a fence, broke a window, and ransacked the home. Police confirmed items were stolen, though details on what was taken have not been released publicly.
Key evidence reportedly came from security footage at Pitt’s residence, which helped identify the suspects.
This case is the latest in a troubling pattern of celebrity home invasions across Southern California over the past two years. Victims have included Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Jennifer Aniston, Dodgers stars Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Max Muncy, and Freddie Freeman, and LAFC’s Olivier Giroud.
As of Tuesday, it was not clear whether Watson or Charles had retained legal counsel.
