WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — A convicted felon is behind bars after a narcotics investigation led to the seizure of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and a stolen firearm, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).
On October 9, 2025, investigators with the WCSO VICE/Narcotics Unit detained 45-year-old Bobby Womack during an ongoing probe into drug trafficking in Walton County.
Womack was found in the lobby of the Red Roof Inn on Green Acres Drive in DeFuniak Springs, allegedly carrying cocaine and a trafficking amount of methamphetamine. He was arrested and transported to the Walton County Jail.
A search warrant executed at Room 212 of the hotel revealed additional quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and Suboxone pills, along with a loaded .380 handgun reported stolen from Polk County. Deputies also recovered scales and baggies linked to drug distribution.
Womack, who has multiple prior felony convictions—including a 2023 conviction for possession with intent to sell—now faces several felony charges, including:
Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Possession of a Controlled Substance (3 counts)
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (2 counts)
Grand Theft of a Firearm
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Cannabis (under 20 grams)
“All of the seized substances tested positive,” authorities said.
Sheriff Michael Adkinson praised the arrest, stating, “This case highlights our commitment to keeping dangerous drugs and armed felons off Walton County streets.”
Womack remains in custody awaiting his first court appearance. The investigation is ongoing, and more charges may follow.
