The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has charged three men in connection with a home break-in and the theft of two classic vehicles from a residence on Stones Dairy Road.

Investigators say that between November 5 and November 17, 2025, the suspects entered a home in the 2000 block and stole a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, a 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle, and several household items.

Within an hour of receiving the report on November 17, deputies located the stolen 1967 Chevelle. A few days later, on November 20, a concerned citizen spotted a blue Camaro abandoned in a wooded area off Microfilm Road in Patrick County. Deputies confirmed it was the stolen 1969 Camaro and recovered it with assistance from the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities arrested:

Bobby Eugene Leagans, 45 — charged with felony probation violation and two counts of felony grand larceny; held without bond.

Brent Ray Doss, 38 — charged with felony grand larceny, two counts of felony statutory burglary, and misdemeanor petit larceny; held without bond.

William Alfred Doss, 60 — charged with two counts of felony statutory burglary, felony grand larceny, and misdemeanor petit larceny; held on a $5,000 secured bond.

The sheriff’s office thanked the community for numerous tips that helped move the investigation forward.
