BATH, N.Y. — Authorities in Steuben County have arrested 29-year-old Blair Devine following a reported disturbance at the county’s Department of Social Services office.
According to officials, the incident occurred last Friday when Devine allegedly caused a disruption in the DSS lobby and physically assaulted two responding officers by striking and kicking them. The officers sustained minor injuries and were treated and released from a local medical facility.
Devine was taken into custody and charged with:
Assault in the second degree
Resisting arrest
Obstructing governmental administration
Harassment
Disorderly conduct
She was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Court and subsequently released.
Authorities emphasized that these charges are accusations, and Blair Devine is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
