A man identified as Bitu Dutta alias Nabin, a resident of Chandmari, was arrested after Geetanagar Police recovered three stolen scooters in Guwahati.
Police reported that an Aviator scooter with registration number AS01DB2117 was recovered from Karbi Path just 20 minutes after it was reported missing. Acting swiftly, the officers apprehended Bitu Dutta during the recovery operation.
Further investigation led to the seizure of another stolen Activa scooter, registration AS01BR5846, from his possession. Police also recovered a third scooter, an NTORQ with registration AS01ET3643, which had been reported stolen from the Paltan Bazar area.
Authorities continue to investigate to determine if the accused is linked to other vehicle thefts in the city.
