HABERSHAM COUNTY — The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of three individuals following two separate drug investigations.
Billy Ray Henson, 46, of Demorest, was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, along with two counts of possessing a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony. During the arrest, deputies seized half an ounce of methamphetamine and two pistols.
On Thursday, after a multi-agency investigation lasting several weeks and involving the county K-9 unit, deputies arrested Toby Whitfield, 50, of Mt. Airy, and Kimberly Bryson at a home on Keller Road. Whitfield was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of methamphetamine. Deputies confiscated two ounces of meth and four ounces of marijuana from the residence. Bryson was arrested at the same location on charges of possession of methamphetamine.
The sheriff’s office continues to investigate illegal drug activity in the area.
