Two men from Merry Oaks Road in Warren County are facing multiple charges following a burglary and theft investigation earlier this month, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department (WCSD).
On September 8, deputies responded to a report of tools stolen from a contractor’s trailer. During the investigation, authorities recovered several stolen items and identified one of the suspects as Billy Wayne Fults, Jr..
Further investigation led to the identification of the second suspect, Jerry Hendrixson, and the execution of a search warrant at his residence. That search uncovered more stolen property, as well as additional criminal activity.
WCSD reported that Hendrixson, a convicted felon, was found in possession of firearms, six marijuana plants, and evidence of illegal wildlife activity.
Fults was charged with:
Burglary
Theft of property
Criminal trespass
He remains in custody at the Warren County Jail on a $35,000 bond.
Hendrixson was charged with:
Burglary
Theft of property
Criminal trespass
Possession of Schedule VI (marijuana)
Unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
He is being held on a $46,000 bond.
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is also conducting a separate investigation into the wildlife-related offenses and has taken possession of the related evidence.
Sheriff Jackie Matheny praised the work of investigators, stating:
“This case is an example of strong investigative work and cooperation that led to the recovery of stolen property and the arrest of two individuals who were committing multiple crimes in our community.”
The investigation is ongoing, with more potential charges pending as authorities continue to review the evidence.
