Bilga Police Arrest Two Travel Agents for Duping Man of Rs 5.56 Lakh

Gurcharan Singh and Tarsem Lal arrested for fraud involving foreign migration promise

The Bilga police have arrested two travel agents for allegedly duping a man of Rs 5.56 lakh under the pretext of sending him abroad. The accused have been identified as Gurcharan Singh from Mehatpur village and Tarsem Lal (alias Som Nath) from Sekhupur village.

The victim, Rajwinder Kumar of Mehsampur village, filed a complaint with the Jalandhar (Rural) SSP, stating that he had paid the accused Rs 5.56 lakh for assistance with migration to Denmark. However, despite receiving the money, he was neither sent abroad nor refunded his money.

A case has been registered against the accused, and investigations are underway to further probe the matter.
