Bhuvan Dashrath and Others Arrested in Mapusa Knife Attack

Four held for stabbing two pay-parking employees

Mapusa police have arrested four individuals in connection with a violent knife attack on two pay-parking employees on Ganesh Chaturthi in Morod.

The arrested accused are Bhuvan Govekar (18), Dashrath Govekar (25), Rupsai Arondekar (18), and Aniket Shirodkar (18). One suspect remains at large.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 11 am when Sandeep Kumar, a parking fee collector, asked one of the accused to park his bike correctly. Enraged, the accused struck Kumar on the head with a car key before calling his accomplices. The group then attacked both Kumar and Prakash Talwar, who tried to intervene. Talwar was stabbed in the stomach, while Kumar sustained serious injuries.

Both victims were immediately admitted to the Mapusa district hospital. Police have registered a case of attempt to murder and are continuing the search for the fifth suspect.
