SWEETWATER, FLA. (WSVN) — A 38-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly placing a hidden camera in the staff bathroom of a Cosmetic Company store at Dolphin Mall, where he was employed.

According to Sweetwater Police, Bernardo Pellicer-Dorta was taken into custody Sunday night and is facing two counts of video voyeurism and one count of battery.

Officers responded to the store after a female employee discovered a pen with a built-in camera hidden in a cleaning supply cart in the employee restroom. The lens was reportedly aimed directly at the toilet.

Pellicer-Dorta initially claimed the pen fell from his blazer by accident. However, surveillance footage contradicted his statement, showing him entering the restroom and deliberately repositioning the pen multiple times to ensure it pointed at the toilet.

One victim told police she noticed the camera during use and grabbed it, at which point Pellicer-Dorta allegedly attempted to take it back by force. Two other employees and a witness confirmed the incident.

Authorities collected the pen and its contents as evidence. Pellicer-Dorta was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
