Berea Woman Arrested in Major Meth, Fentanyl Bust

Kaitlyn France Charged After Hotel Room Drug Search

BEREA, Ky. — A woman has been arrested on multiple drug trafficking charges after Berea Police discovered over 130 grams of methamphetamine and other controlled substances during a hotel room search.

According to police, Kaitlyn France was arrested on October 29 when the Berea Police Department and the Berea Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a local hotel.

The search led to the seizure of:

131 grams of suspected methamphetamine

5.44 grams of suspected fentanyl

39 Suboxone pills

10 Clonazepam, 4 Diazepam, 1 Alprazolam, 1 Xanax, 1 Methadone Hydrochloride

A small amount of marijuana and 1 Hydrocodone

France faces several charges, including:

Trafficking methamphetamine (second offense)

Trafficking fentanyl

Third-degree trafficking controlled substance

First- and second-degree possession of controlled substances

Possession of marijuana

Prescription drugs not in proper container

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Police said the arrest is part of ongoing efforts by the Berea Street Crimes Unit to combat local drug activity.
