The City Market police in Bengaluru have successfully arrested a notorious burglar involved in multiple house thefts across the city. The arrested individual, Manjunath, also known as Parivala Manju, is a 38-year-old resident of Krishnagiri district, Tamil Nadu. Before relocating to Tamil Nadu, Manjunath had lived in Thigalarpet, Bengaluru.
Manjunath has been allegedly involved in a series of house burglaries in Bengaluru, targeting high-value items, especially gold. In a major breakthrough, the police recovered 475 grams of gold, estimated to be worth Rs30 lakh, from his possession. Authorities have been investigating his involvement in several thefts, and this recovery is believed to be only a part of his criminal activities.
Following his arrest, Manjunath reportedly confessed to committing multiple thefts over the past few months. His modus operandi involved breaking into homes and stealing gold and other valuable items.
The police are continuing to investigate his network of accomplices and are working on identifying other stolen goods that may be in his possession or that of his associates. Manjunath’s arrest has brought relief to several victims who had previously reported losing valuables to a similar pattern of thefts.
Authorities believe that Manjunath, after committing his crimes in Bengaluru, had moved to Krishnagiri, but continued his criminal activities across multiple regions. The police are also looking into the possibility of his involvement in other thefts outside Bengaluru.
