Bengaluru police have apprehended a young burglar from Rajasthan who allegedly targeted locked houses at night, stealing valuable jewelry. Authorities recovered diamond and gold ornaments worth approximately Rs3 crore from the suspect.
The accused has been identified as Vallaram Meena, also known as Sunil, 19, hailing from Salumbar district in Rajasthan.
According to the police, Sethu Mahadeva, a resident of R.T. Nagar, filed a complaint with the Yelahanka police on February 16. He reported that a relative living in Judicial Layout, Yelahanka, whose husband works as a software developer in the United States, had been targeted by the thief.
Police investigations led to the arrest of Vallaram Meena and the recovery of the stolen valuables, ending a series of high-value house burglaries in the city.
