Bengaluru Couple Arrested for Landlady Murder Robbery

Bengaluru: In a shocking case of murder and robbery, police have arrested a tenant couple, Prasad Srishail Makai and Sakshi Hanumant Hoddur, for allegedly murdering their landlady, Srilakshmi, and fleeing with her gold mangalsutra in Uttarahalli.

The victim was found dead in her residence on New Millennium School Road on Tuesday. Her husband, who works at an incense stick shop in Cottonpet, discovered her body after repeated phone calls went unanswered. Srilakshmi was lying in the hall with injuries to her neck, lips, and face, and her gold mangalsutra was missing.

Following the complaint, the police registered a case and began a detailed investigation. Acting on leads, officers arrested the tenant couple who were residing in the victim’s house.

During interrogation, Prasad and Sakshi confessed to murdering Srilakshmi and stealing her jewellery. Police have stated that further investigation is ongoing to uncover more details and any possible accomplices.
