The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru City Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of two individuals, including a foreign national, in separate drug peddling cases. Authorities seized narcotics worth approximately Rs1 crore during the operation.
Police identified the arrested suspects as Uche Ndudi (25), a Nigerian national, and Akash, a resident of Begur in Bengaluru. Officials said the exact age of Akash is yet to be confirmed.
According to investigators, Uche Ndudi was arrested following specific intelligence inputs that a foreign national residing within the jurisdiction of KR Puram police station limits was actively involved in drug trafficking activities.
During the operation, police also recovered a mobile phone and a two-wheeler allegedly used to transport the narcotics. Authorities stated that further investigation is underway to determine the wider network involved in the illegal drug trade.
Officials from the Bengaluru CCB said the crackdown is part of continued efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks operating in the city.
