BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) — John Rose IV, a teacher employed by Bedford County Public Schools, has been arrested for alleged sex crimes involving a juvenile student from Rockingham County.
According to the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, investigators were informed of a possible sexual assault that took place in Rockingham County. Deputies say that Rose, who is a resident of Bedford County, had met the victim while he was her teacher in another school division.
Rose, 40, was charged with four counts of taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship. He has been taken into custody and is being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
