BEAUFORT, NC – A Beaufort couple was arrested on Tuesday, March 25, and charged with drug trafficking, weapons violations, and child abuse after an undercover investigation led to a search of their residence near a school.
Investigation & Arrests
The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Beaufort Police, executed a search warrant at an apartment on Campen Rd. in the Eastport Apartment Complex, the home of Princesaliek Frazier and Artaviah Williams.
The investigation stemmed from controlled fentanyl purchases made by undercover officers. During the search, authorities recovered:
54.7 grams of marijuana
A small amount of fentanyl (officials believe Frazier flushed most of it)
$2,084 in cash
A handgun and an AR-15 rifle with no serial number
Frazier, a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms. Additionally, officials say the couple was using illegal drugs in the presence of a minor child at the time of the raid.
Charges & Bonds
Princesaliek Frazier faces multiple charges, including drug trafficking, firearm possession by a felon, and child abuse. He remains in jail on a $60,000 secured bond.
Artaviah Williams was also charged with drug-related offenses and child abuse. Her bond is set at $85,000 secured.
