In a major breakthrough, the Bauchi State Police Command has apprehended three individuals allegedly involved in a series of armed robberies that have plagued the Misau Local Government Area.
The arrested suspects are Ahmad Musa (alias Abba Yausa, 20), Tijjani Abdullahi (alias T.J, 20), and Danladi Aliyu (aka Uban Daba, 30). They were arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy, housebreaking, and armed robbery.
According to the police, the gang entered a residence in Misau LGA in July 2024, armed with locally made pistols and seven rounds of live ammunition. The suspects stole N250,000, three mobile phones, and a quantity of recharge cards from various networks.
The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) successfully apprehended Ahmad Musa with a fabricated pistol and the ammunition. After questioning, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, has ordered a full investigation and prosecution of the suspects. Authorities are also working to track down other gang members, including Ismail Kawuwa, Sadiq Kange, Adamu Dan Kamfani, and Attahir.
Police have called for the public’s assistance in locating the remaining fugitives, urging anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.
