COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) — A Sumter County man, Bateac Michael McLeod, was arrested on June 11 after a narcotics investigation led deputies to execute a search warrant at the residence where he was staying.
During the search, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Narcotic Unit allegedly discovered crack cocaine, evidence of intent to distribute, and a stolen firearm.
McLeod now faces several felony charges, including:
Manufacturing crack cocaine
Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine
Five counts of distribution of crack cocaine
Possession of a stolen firearm
Additional weapons offense
McLeod is currently being held without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center. Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing and more charges may be possible.
