Basistha Police Arrest Dhubri Man in Mobile Theft

Stolen OPPO phones recovered from accused in custody

The Basistha Police Station arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a mobile theft case and recovered stolen phones from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Jiyarul Hoque of Fakirganj, Dhubri district. Following a sustained investigation, police took him into custody, and during questioning, he admitted to his involvement in the offence, providing crucial information for the investigation.

Based on his disclosure, police recovered an OPPO A79 mobile handset, reported stolen by the complainant, along with another OPPO F19 Pro phone found in his possession. Both devices were seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities confirmed that the recovered phones have been taken into custody, and further action is underway to identify any other stolen property linked to the accused.
