Barze Faesal Sadq Pleads Guilty to Attempted Murder, Abuse

Barze Faesal Sadq, 30, has pleaded guilty to attempted murder, threats to kill, stalking, and possession of a bladed article at Luton Crown Court. The charges stem from an attack on his partner on May 21, 2023, in which he stabbed the woman near a school in Dunstable Road, leaving her with serious injuries.

During the relationship, Sadq was described as coercive and controlling, creating a climate of fear for the victim. Despite her repeated attempts to escape the abusive relationship, Sadq relentlessly pursued her, threatening her life and continuing his abusive behavior.

Sadq’s guilty pleas were delivered at Luton Crown Court, where he is set to be sentenced on November 13. Detective Inspector Jon Wheeler, who led the investigation, expressed sympathy for the victim, highlighting the ongoing fear she lived with and the challenges faced by victims of domestic abuse in coming forward. Wheeler assured that support is available for those facing similar situations.
