In a series of successful operations, police in Baramulla and Budgam arrested four drug peddlers and seized heroin and charas-like substances from their possession.
In Baramulla, Kunzer Police apprehended Habil Yaseen Dar, a resident of Habakadal Srinagar, at a checkpoint in Tarhama. Authorities seized 10 grams of heroin-like substance from him.
At another checkpoint in Yadipora Crossing, Palhallan Police arrested Rayees Ahmad Tantray and Danish Ahmad Dar after discovering 2.9 kg of charas-like powder in their possession.
Meanwhile, in Budgam, police arrested Tanveer Ahmad Bhat from Arigam at a checkpoint in Chamboora, recovering four sticks of charas-like substance.
The police have launched investigations into these cases to track down the sources of the drugs and disrupt the trafficking networks.
