Baner Police Arrest Two in 3.4 Kg Marijuana Seizure

Ravi Verma, Kaushelendra Verma caught in anti-drug raid

Baner Police recently confiscated 3.4 kg of marijuana and arrested two individuals in a successful anti-drug operation at Bloomingdales Society near Jupiter Hospital.

The suspects, Ravi Vijay Verma (19) and Kaushelendra Nathu Prasad Verma (23), both natives of Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, and residents of Pimple Saudagar, were caught with the ganja, reportedly intended for sale.

The accused have been charged under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and are currently in police custody as investigations continue.

The operation was led by Senior Police Inspector Chandrashekhar Sawant and Police Inspector (Crime) Alka Sarag, demonstrating Pune Police’s ongoing commitment to combating drug trafficking.
